The bar graphs illustrate the percentage of films released and the total percentage of cinema ticket sales in a country respectively. It shows the difference between 1996 and 2006 in four main categories of film: drama, comedy, fantasy, and romance.
First, in 2006, the percentage of films released increased significantly for all categories. Similarly, all of the categories had a significant rise in the percentage of cinema ticket sales except for romance which decreased tremendously.
In 1996 and 2006, drama had the highest percentage of films released at 26% in 1996 and 35% in 2006. However, it sits in second place for the percentage of cinema ticket sales at about 16-17 percent for both years. sitting in second place in the percentage of films released, comedy had a high percentage for both years, and it sits in first place in cinema ticket sales by a wide margin. In third place, fantasy faced a high rise in the percentage of cinema ticket sales as it also did with the percentage of films released. In last place, romance faced its downfall as the percentage of films released has not changed, and it fell significantly in the percentage of cinema ticket sales.
