The bar chart provides information about the ownership of cars by Chinese people in a twelve-year period of time. All in all, the amount of cars every one thousands people significantly increased during the analyzed period of time.
As can be seen, from 1987 to 1993 the number of cars owned by Chinese people had an upward trend. In fact, in 1987 there were around 25 vehicles every one thousands people, 1989 the value doubled and at the end of 1993 it reached 100 units per thousands of people, four times the data of 6 years before.
From 1995 the number of vehicles surged, doubling the data of two tears before and arriving at 200 cars per thousands of people. In the following 4 tears the number of car ownership gained 100 units every two years, peaking at just over 400 in 1999, the highest number since 1987. In 1999 the number of vehicles per thousands people was sixteen times the 1987 data.
