The bar chart illustrates the number of vehicles per thousand people in China between 1987 and 1999.

Overall, the number of vehicles increase significantly throughout the period. In addition, the growth became much faster after 1995. The highest figure was recorded in 1999 While the lowest was in 1987.

In 1987 there were only about 250 vehicles per thousand people. This fi e then rose gradually to around 500 in 1989 and approximately 900 in 1991. By 1993, the number had reached about (1,100 )vehicles per thousand people.

However, the increase became more noticeable after 1993. In 1995, the figure climbed sharply to nearly 2,000. After that, it continued to grow and reached around 3,000 in 1997. Finally, in 1999 the number pak approximately 4,200 vehicles per thousand people.

In conclusion, vehicle ownership in China experienced a steady rise from 1987 to 1993 and then increased dramatically during the second half of the period. This show that more and more people owned vehicles over these year .
