Overall, Brisbane is warmer than Canberra. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Brisbane are higher. Although both cities follow a similar pattern – cooler months from April to September – their rainfall patterns differ.

In Brisbane, February is the hottest month, with a maximum temperature of about 30℃. In contrast, Canberra experiences its warmest period from December to February, with a peak temperature of roughly 27℃. July is the coldest month for both cities. In July, Brisbane’s minimum temperature falls to around 10℃, while in Canberra it drops to nearly 1℃.

Rainfall in Brisbane peaks from December to April, with February and March recording about 14 rainy days each. Meanwhile, Canberra sees its highest number of rainy days from June to August, with around 10 days per month.

In summary, Brisbane enjoys a noticeably warmer climate and summer rain, whereas Canberra is colder and gets more rain in winter.
