This table illustrates the amount of people attending to four types of Secondary School which are : Specialist Schools, Grammar Schools,Voluntary-controlled Schools and Community Schools between 2000 and 2009. The proportions are given in percentages.
The number of people taking classes in Specialist School decreased slightly whereas Grammar Schools halfed its previous amount and Voluntary-controlled schools experienced huge downfall. The community schools welcomed students more than thrice of its initial amount.
In 2000, 12% of the students were educated in the Specialist School. However, its amount decreased for a percent in 2005 and 2009, leaving it with overall 10%.The number of people attending to the Grammar Schools constituted 24% in 2000 and 12% in 2009, showing that it halfed its amount. The Voluntary-Controlled Schools were chosen by 52% of the students in 2000, 38% in 2005 and 20% in 2009, proving that it also became less chosen eventually.Community schools, becoming the school with increased attendance, showed 12% in the year 2000, 32% in 2005 and scoring up to 58% in 2009.
