On the other hand, comedy-film tickets were the most sold ones, followed by drama, while fantasy and romantic movies were the least purchased tickets.

Comedy films came next, with gradually increasing ratios from 20% in 1996 to 25% in 2006. Next, were fantasy movies with a percentage of around 12% in 1996, and their production slightly increased to 17% nearly in 2006. Romance films were the least released throughout the periods, they had consistant 7% in the two years.
Regarding ticket sales, the most purchased tickets belonged to comedy movies, they had 20% sales in 1996, the sales slightly went up to nearly 23% in 2006. Drama films had the second most sold tickets, they had nearly 16% and 17% sales percentages in 1996 and 2006 respectively. Romance films followed in 1996 with a percentage of just 5%, While, fantasy films had the lowest sales ratio the same year at around 2.5%. In contrast, in 2006, fantasy film sales massively rose to 7%, while romance movie purchases declined to half its previous ratio at nearly 2%.
