Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that some of the old features were still there, whereas others such as ferry had all gone. Additionally, over the period, the area have undergone dramatic transformation with several large changes including infrastructure, housing areas and amenities.
At the present, the ferry have been demolished to make a way for road bridge. Similarly, the forests that used to in the northwest of the river have been cleared and erected car park. Additionally, lots of houses, and a parking lot have been constructed on one side of the river, there also brand new apartments was built in the north of the river. Furthermore, there was an extension of Ashford to satisfy additional housing needs.
