Overall, the percentage of people who rode bikes had its peek in young ages grops The rate decreased for each next age demographics until reached the group of senior people which showed a slight recovery in the proportion of bike riders. Meanwhile, the famale grop illustated higher percentages then male one for each slice of population.
Nearly a half of young boys and girls in ages 0-9 rode bicycles in 2011. Then, 10-to-17-year-old teenagers showed a fall in pecentage of children riding bikes. However, the decline in female group was higher: 42.2% of boys cycled, on the other hand, only 24.6% of girs did the same.
The rate of people who used bicycles conitnued to drop in the next two cohorts. Only the 17.1% of men, 9.7% of women cycled in 18-39 age group; and 12.3% of mens, 8% of women in 40-59 age category. The senior peole group in age 60 and more years old increased the proportion: 18.5% of men and 13.2% of women rode bicycles.
