The following table illustrates the percentages of people who rode bikes depending on their age and gender in 2011 in one town.
Generally, the dominant age group in the table is those aged 0 to 9 years old with a similar percentage between males and females. As the age group reaches 10-17, it starts dropping dramatically after that.
In 2011, those in the 0-9 age bracket had the highest percentages between the two genders in the entire table with females being at 51.4% and males being at 50.3% which is nearly identical. Turning to the 10-17 age bracket, the percentages dropped by a bit for females; conversely, the percentage for males halved compared to the previous age group. Going forward into the next two age brackets (18-39 and 40-59), the percentages drop significantly for the two genders compared to the 10-17 group. Regardless of the drop, the percentages are somewhat similar in these two groups. The percentages see a small rise for those aged 60+ going by 5-6% for each gender.
