Dear Sir,

I am writing this to inform you about my participation in the forthcoming election for society council. Based on the information brochure circulated in the social media group of society, I am eligible to apply for the vice-president of the council.

I have recently started working as a freelancer where the working hours are flexible leaving me with ample time to tend to other matters. Although, being single, I have other household activities to complete during my spare time, I would also like to give some time to the residential place and its people where I have been living for the past five years.

Currently, there are only two members who are standing in the election for that position, of which none are young or even middle aged. I have gone through the roles and responsibilities of vice-president which requires quite a hassle going to various government offices for permissions and managing all events during festivals. In my opinion, someone young would be more appropriate for such tasks. Therefore, I would like to enroll myself to stand in the upcoming elections for the position of council vice-president.

In view of the above, I would, hereby, like to submit my nomination to stand in the elections which are going to be held next month for selection of new council members.
