The data on the line graph represents the persentage of unemployed citezens in the UK, the rest of Europe and Japan from 1993 to 2007.

Overall, it seems like unemployement levels flactuated a lot for all 3 regions during this period. Especially the UK, who has seen a huge plung in their unemployement percentage over the years, in contrast japan had the lowest unemployement proportions for the most part.

To begin with, Europe had the highest unemployement percentage of all 3 from 1995 till the end of the graph peaking at a little under 12% in 1997. Before that, from 1993 to 1995 the UK used to have the highest proportion with 11% in 1993, but since the beginning of the graph the UK’s unemployement rates are dropping year by year for 7 years, after that they stayed on a constant rate of 5% from 2001 to 2005, and it was in this period that the UK overtook Japan, since they had the lowest rates for every other year except for these years, they even managed to hit 2% in 1993.
