Nowadays, travel is very popular in the world. Many people will go around the world during their holidays. A lot of places in the world are becoming increasingly dependent on it. But while it enhances our lives, it may be having an effect on some aspects.
One of the biggest advantages of tourism is that it can increase our economics. Since more people have been attracted to visit our places, who will consume in our place. Therefore, citizens may earn more money and ameliorate their quality of life. Then, citizens will spend more money to enjoy their life, for example having an expensive male and buying more luxurious products. There are also huge benefits of forcing more job opportunities. When tourists are visiting our palace, more services are needed to provide to tourists. For example, hotels, restaurants, shops and other tourist facilities that need to be developed. As a result, there are enough jobs for everyone and the general standard of living has greatly increased.
Despite these advantages, tourism may affect inhabitants’ lives. It is because tourism may go to an area that is not tourist attractions, tourism may affect people who are working or living in there. For example, many tourists want to visit Hong Kong University, but it leads to students who are studying there being late and tourism making noise. A related criticism is that it leads to environmental problems. A large number of tourists causes pollution, like air pollution and land pollution, as they use cars a lot to get around the city and put the rubbish around the street.
Clearly, there are some negative aspects when many tourists visit. If the government or organizations set up some rules to protect inhabitants and our living place, there are only benefits that remain.
