We live in a world where everyone fights for money, power, and personal ambitions, and it does not mean that it is wrong because everyone wants to live a better life, make great money and be successful at their competitive work environment, and some people in society tend to value social status and other people worth over other dignities like trust and kindness. However, I believe that it is important to not forget about these traditional values.
Undoubtedly having independence in our financials it reveals greater opportunities, and whenever people claim that money cannot buy happiness, does not alter the fact that it is incredible to feel a sort of freedom from financial obligations. But regrettably, although we live in 2024 in modern, where technological breakthroughs happen constantly and generations are changed, there are people who still can judge others by their wealth, income, social status. The emphasis on social status and material things is usually driven by a culture or society which prioritize extra success markers, maybe they seek personal benefits, but again, it still sounds so unconvincing in relation to people’s judgment based on their wealth and social status. Consequently, some individuals can feel under pressure when they try to fit into this system and standards, therefore, we should value peoples’ great qualities such as kindness and humaneness, and not let these significances fade away.
Therefore, I believe that our society must not underestimate other individuals by their income conditions or statuses, because personal traits such as kindness, honor and trust are fundamental moral things in our world.
