A common topic among people is whether advertising plays a big part on the growing similarities of people’s lifestyle nowadays. I undoubtedly agree with this because of a few reasons.
One thing is that, advertising is a powerful way for companies to convince people to buy their products. In the modern world that we are living in , companies are able to simply deliver their products to famous influencers on social media whom their followers trust them enough to use the same brand as theirs. The people who follow them , blindly trust them and hold them in high regard to follow their steps and use the same products. In this case, they will be blinded by temptation to purchase them just to be the same as them. So in this way, the manufacturers will have a development and become well known worldwide.
Another thing is that, many individuals have children and teenagers in their house and they are an easy target to be persuade by advertising. Although most of the parents spend money carefully on the facilities and basic needs, if their kids are nagging about a toy which they saw on an advertisement, they will be left we no other choice than to purchase them. Obviously, their teenagers will want to have the trending items that they saw online so their parents have to fulfill their wishes to an extent. In other words, parents will be forced to spend their money and saving on something’s that are not worth it.
All in all, advertising is like trap for those who are gullible enough to be persuaded by them and in this situation, many humans around the world buy unnecessary products to show off and to be like others.
