Band 4+: Advertising encourages customers to buy in quantity not in quality. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In this day and age, the fact that buying via advertising is more and more popular all the corners of the world. However, there are some opinions that advertising encourages people to buy in quantity rather than to promote its quality. In this essay, I will take a look at both attitudes before offering my opinions.

Firstly, it is important to realize that the brands create a lot of advertisements to increase the number of products sold. For example, Coca-cola advertises in every Tet holiday to boost brand awareness and attract customers. Secondly, it is equally essential to recognize that before concerning about the quality of products, beautiful design makes buyers decide to purchase quickly.

Notwithstanding the aforementioned justifications, there are several factors that are worth discussing. There is no denying that some users care about quality rather than the outside design of items. For instance, the items of technology like computers, smart phones, TVs,….. are often invested in feature and function more than appearance. To be more specific, the items of health need to promote their quality.

In conclusion, I am in favor of both views. To the best of my knowledge, the producers should invest in advertisements about design and promote the quality of items.
