In recent times, it has been true that in some countries around the world, advertising is the main key to gaining popularity among people. However, organisations mainly create advertising to target preschoolers; those televised promotions should be banned by the government. To my way of thinking, I completely agree with this statement. After analysing this look, a reason for the conclusion will be shared.
To begin with, there are manifold reasons why my affirmative stance is positive. First and foremost, children are not mature enough to understand the true nature of advertising and can be misled by it. To illustrate, the fact is that they may not realise that the toys or snacks advertised on TV may not be as good as they appear to be. In other words, a recent study revealed that, in 2021, more than 10,000 children pester their parents to buy them the products they see on TV. For this reason, Gardina suffered a lot of financial burdens. Therefore, the government should focus on stopping it.
Besides, there are a multitude of reasons to support this issue. One possible justification is that, ironically, all adversity is not harmful for Youngster. To express the fact that some adversities promote healthy habits and social commitment, which can have a positive impact on children’s cognitive learning. In addition to this, a survey conducted by The Daily Star saw a well-known journalist write an article in which he emphasised an advertisement created by an organisation, an animation ad, where they try to gain awareness among offspring about not only sanitation but also the drawbacks of consuming chocolate. Thus, my parents easily teach their children to avoid it.
To conclude, it is undeniably true that television advertising has some pros and cons. In some cases, it’s helpful to teach students some skills as well as some time-missed lessons related to their study path. However, a few of these are not suitable for children; those should be banned by the authorities. The government should monitor the content related to children. Thus, in my personal experience as well, I would like to state that guardians should monitor their children’s activities.
