It is clear that tourism is one of the biggest industries in the worlds. Nowadays, there is shift in demand of flights.Increase in tourism will create problems such as greenhouse gas emissions and in the following paragraphs I will discuss solutions for this issues.
Firstly, greenhouse gas emission is biggest problem of increase in travelling. Tourists attend in some activities that produce gases, also planes use fossil fuel which has negative impact on environment. As a result , it contributes to climate change, which will effect to the global weather and ecosystems. Moreover, tourism makes noise and air pollution. Because increase in the amount of flights contributes to air pollution through the release of pollutants such as toxic gases. Additionally, the noise generated by visitors to popular tourist destinations can disturb local communities.
However these issues can be overcome . Firstly investing in sustainable aviation technologies and use of bio-fuels help to reduce amount of the toxic gases. For example, the airline Widerøe operates the world’s first electric passenger plane, the “Pipistrel Alpha Electro,” on some domestic routes in the Norway. Also government has supports approaches to produce and use sustainable aviation bio-fuels derived from renewable sources. Additionally, by adapting to cleaner technologies, like electric aircraft can minimize air and noise pollution. For example , The Netherlands has been involved in testing and implementing electric aviation solutions.
To conclude growth in tourism industry has negative effects such as creation of greenhouse gas emissions and pollution of air and the noise. However , these problems can be overcome by usage of sustainable technologies .
