Nowadays, population rate is increasing day by day around the world. This problematic situation leads to the depletion of natural resources and rising unemployment. However, it can be addressed with family planning and government policies.
Overpopulation has several negative implications in ecology and economy of the world. Firstly, growing people’s numbers causes increasing demand for foods, water and energy, leading to their shortages and environmental degradation. There are specific levels for each resources use by one person, and when people rate continues to grow, these resources may be end. These issues, in turn, are followed by decline in people’s quality of lives. Another consequence of overpopulation is increasing of unemployment numbers. With more people competing for limited jobs, and it causes higher unemployment and widespread poverty.
To tackle these challenges, there are several measures. One important solution is education. Educating people, especially women about family planning and reproductive health can help reduce birth rates and control population growth. Another great way is government policies. Government should introduce limits on the number of children for each family, as seen in China in the past. This also helps reduce and control population growth.
In conclusion, increase in population causes several major problems like decreasing of water and food resources. I think, educating women about family planning and limiting children’s numbers through government policies are great solutions for overpopulation.
