These days, kids are becoming less active than they used to be in the past. It is one of the reasons why many sports lessons must be obligated in schools to solve this problem. There are points for and against this idea, but overall I agree with the method and I will explain my reasons in this essay.
Firstly, it is true to say that physical activities have many benefits for all ages. They can maintain mental and physical well-being, especially among young individuals. Participating in sports can make a teenager’s immune system stronger and protect them from being vulnerable to various diseases such as the flu. Furthermore, sports not only increase each child’s dynamism but also foster important life skills like teamwork and discipline. By making sports lessons compulsory in school, children can be more proactive with sports, which can help develop a healthy lifestyle for them.
On the other hand, along with the physical benefits of sports, a big problem today is that children are not interested in these physical activities. They are gradually becoming more passive than in the past. However, it is not advisable for schools to force students with sports lessons. This can lead to students who do not like traditional sports feeling uncomfortable and reluctant. Instead, schools can listen to the wishes of students, expanding the variety of gifted sports such as dance classes, drawing classes,…etc. From there, it can help students become more proactive and more interested in going to school.
