Climate change is a serious global issue that is affecting all nations. Some people believe that individuals should be mainly responsible for solving this problem. However, I disagree with this opinion and believe that governments and large companies have a bigger role to play.
First of all, governments have the power to make laws and introduce policies that can reduce pollution and protect the environment. For example, they can ban single-use plastics, promote renewable energy, and limit carbon emissions from factories and cars. These actions can have a much bigger impact than personal efforts like using less water or turning off lights.
Secondly, many big companies are the main sources of pollution. Factories release huge amounts of carbon dioxide into the air, and many businesses use unsustainable materials in their products. If companies are not forced to change, the damage to the planet will continue. Governments must create strict rules to make these companies take responsibility for the environment.
That being said, individuals also have a part to play. People can reduce their use of plastic, save electricity, and recycle more. They can also raise awareness and vote for leaders who care about climate change. However, these actions alone are not enough to solve the problem.
In conclusion, I believe that governments and large companies should take the lead in fighting climate change. Individuals can support these efforts, but real change requires strong action from those in power.
