Band 5+: Computer games are bad for people because they cause a lot of problems. Do you agree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the intricate tapestry of today’s global society, computer games has become a matter of discussion. While some argue that video games offer a great opportunity to distract oneself after a long day of doing arduous work, others contend with the idea that they are malicious, since they often cause an addiction and take up too much time. In this essay, I will delve into various avenues and provide my opinion on this topic.

To get the ball rolling, online games have proven themselves to have a negative influence, as they got dozens of teenagers glazing at the screens 24/7, but, the way I see it, it is more of a fault of parent’s poor upbringing and lack of attention, as they should have monitored their child’s screentime and restricted them from playing if needed so.

Moreover, adult’s unhealthy addiction to the video games has ruimed many lives. It is not only affecting their time managment, but their mental and physical health aswell. Staring at the screen and sitting on the gaming chair all day, most of the time results in development of scholiosis, obesity and even depression. In addition, after playing for some time, gamers are usually inclined to spend their money on skins and battlepasses, leading to irresponsible financial decisions.

On the other hand, computer games offer a great prospects of escaping reality after an exhausting day. It helps people relax and enjoy their free time playing eith their family and friends.

Taking into consideration all of the above, from my point of view, games are not completely bad. We just need to pay attention to not to overplay them.

Opinions differ on whether women should play an equal role as men in a country’s police or military forces or whether they are unsuitable for these kinds of jobs. Learning autonomy is commonly used to describe students' ability to take responsibility for their own learning, including setting goals, choosing methods, and evaluating progress, especially in an age where information is widely available online. Some argue that learning autonomy encourages independence, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. Others maintain that too much autonomy may lead to confusion, ineffective learning strategies, and a lack of discipline without proper teacher guidance. Provide specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

With the unprecedented development of technology, marked by the widespread accessibility of information online, there has been an ongoing debate about whether autonomy should be promoted in the learning process of students.
