Opinions are divided on whether robots are a key determinant for human development or whether they can pose dangers and exert harmful influences on society. This essay will examine both before justifying my own stance that although robots currently are hard to be completely handled, I firmly believe that such mechanical creatures can offer promising opportunities.
On the one hand, the opponents of robots may argue that technology is replacing humans in the workforce at a rapid pace, so some people cannot adapt to this situation quickly enough. Specifically, robots can be considered superior, compared to humans, especially manual workers, in terms of speed and also accuracy, as they have the ability to analyse vast data precisely, while not struggling with tireness due to working for a long time, thereby addressing problems promptly. For example, in a factory, auto mechanic machines, regardless of chronological factors, have the ability to operate for a whole day without interuption, such as lunch breaks, and rarely demand maintenance. This advantage enhances productivity and shows that installing robots is more economic than hiring a number of employees. Therefore, it is valid to concern the fact that robots can negatively affect some individuals’ financial security when they pose various threat of many jobs being replaced in the future.
On the other hand, when it comes to robots and auto mechanic system, their potentials in the medical field are also worth mentioning. Indeed, in the future, more and more robots which are more maneuverable will emerge, which means that modern technology can pave the way for more complex surgeries while ensuring the safety for patients. It will not the surgeon that directly performs the treatment but they merely instruct the mechanic machine which has a high level of flexibility and the ability to approach such sensitive parts of human body harmlessly. This improvement can give rise to numerous advanced medical treatments that are currently beyond our hands.
In conclusion, I acknowledge that some workers can be affected by the rapid growth of robots, as their jobs are easy to be replaced in the future. However, I firmly believe that robots are more relevant in the contemporary era, because they still have a large room for development, meaning that in the future, their benefits can totally esclipsed current issues.
