I can’t remember many embarrassing situations that had happened to me, though there is one that has happened recently.
This year I will go to the summer camp with my friends. I’ve been there once, last summer. Each of those camps has its own “camp dance” which we dance every morning before breakfast. So this year I volunteered to participate in one of them, as that I will be one of those people who stand in the centre and show the moves to everyone. Basically I just had to learn the dance and show good results during our rehearsals.
I learnt the dance fast and in general everything was going good. But one day, our team decided to change some of the moves and it’s nothing bad right? Yeah, well, except for one thing… I wasn’t at that rehearsal when they made this decision, and no one told me anything! The next rehearsal everyone knew their moves perfectly but me. I could even feel their weird looks at me. I felt like I didn’t belong and that I won’t be able to learn everything in time. Though I am not the one to be shy or to be ashamed easily. Through some time I got to the point where I stopped caring much about what other people think of me. And if I have done anything bad or not right, I stay calm and try to focus on the problem, its solving and my actions. That’s what works so much better for me becoming one situation should not change my mood.
In conclusion, I, fully motivated, tried to learn the dance as fast as I could. And I did! Soon I will be showing it to other teenagers my age, wish me luck!
