Now is the time to take ‘Climate Change’ seriously; the abrupt weather pattern is now visible across the Earth, and this is because, until now, we have over-burned fossil fuels. Fossil fuels, which are a major part of our economic development, are also a major contributor to the disturbance of the Earth’s weather pattern.
Because of the change in climate pattern, now the summers across the globe are hotter and longer when compared to the summer season in the 18th century; thus, there is more evaporation of water, and, as a result, the rivers which flowed continuously throughout the year are getting dry in summer. People and animals are suffering because of the unavailability of fresh water to drink.
Weather scientists have also mentioned that, with an increase in temperature, the Antarctic ice is melting fast, and, within the coming 10 years, the melting ice will increase the water level of our seas by 2 meters. Thus, all our cities near the seashore will be underwater, displacing millions of people and having a huge impact on major economies of the world.
Scientists have also said that, with this melting ice, viruses which have been dormant for millions of years will become active and will result in the mass disruption of humans as well as livestock.
These are some of the many problems we can have if we do not start taking steps to prevent climate change. So it is better to start now instead of regretting later on, and hurting the future generations lives, first we spark a start.
