One school of thought holds that art and music play an important role and it should be taught in secondary school. From my point of view, although studying art or music is beneficial for students, I believe that the main subjects are more advantageous.
It is understandable why some people always believe teaching art and music should be required to study. It helps students with more creativity and especially it is not any pressure for them. Secondly, If students who are talented in music or art such as singing or acting, it is a gateway to endless opportunities for their future.
However, subjects which are not traditional subjects are affected by their attitude towards studying. Firstly, due to art or music being quite easy to study, they will ignore main subjects such as: math, english and literature. This leads to a young generation that lacks knowledge and even am not full of life skills. Secondly, one clear disadvantage of this is if a child only focuses on preferable subjects like art and music, they will gradually be distracted and want to drop traditional subjects and this is extremely dangerous. Such a drawback can be especially detrimental to the education system , they are criticized by people and resulting in people having lost faith in education.
In conclusion, it is apparent that teaching art or music in school has more drawbacks than benefits. With lack of knowledge and causing the education system is more and more poor and will be criticized by
