It is claimed that advancement of technology has provided more entertainment time than in the past. As far as I am concerned, I firmly disagree with the mentioned statement which will be analyzed with particular examples to jutify it.
Initially, there are two main reasons why mordenity of technology can give publics more time to relax than before. Firstly, users can acess numberous of websites and applications whatever they want to unwind or serve for theie entertainment. To illustrate, in the past, if younger want to play video games, they only played it in the computer. Nevertheless, in the mordern generation, user can easily play game in their smartphone instead of heavy computer. Secondly, people can solve their tasks at home instead of going to the company, leading to the phenomenon that they spend less tinme on comlpusory activities as working, and they can take part in several non-compulsory activities that they want. In other words, worker don’t have to arrive to their company or office. Consequently, the people will have more leisure time.
Apart from the pracical benefits above, I belive that the advancement of technology will restrict opportunities to entertaint. One of the significant problems is that because of ubiquity of modern technological tools, younger generations take fewer and shorter vacaions, following with the growing in the number of technology activities. With the development of technology, people are faced with the lack of time to enjoy their after-work life. Due to the fast development of technology, our generation are more stressed than any generation before with the afraid of jobs, or peer pressure. Meanwhild, people now have to engage in more everyday processes than in the past. It seems that the time budget is burdened due to more non-compulsory activities.
