Band 4+: Due to the use of the computers and mobile phones, letter-writing ability is disappearing. To what extent do you agree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is no denying in the fact that technology and inventions are boon for humans. In ancient times, people used to write letters to each other, whilst nowadays they are using computers and mobile phones. Therefore, letter-writing skill is obsolete now. To a healthy extent, my two cents go with the laid motif. Ensuing paragraphs will articulate certain facts and examples to support my viewpoint before coming to conclusion.

This segment will anticipate the reasons of why people are not communicating through letters. First and foremost, internet, the greatest invention of mankind, has made the human beings’ life easier. Unlike traditional method of writing letter, within a second, we can deliver the message not only in our own country but also outside the county. This can be corroborated with an epitome, these days excessive number of students are migrating to another country for abroad education, and they do not feel alone there, as they can talk to their parents anytime from anywhere.

Moreover, sending messages using computers and mobile phones are not only cost effective but also time saving. A person does not need to go the post office to send a letter. Moreover, it is convenient for any age group. For instance, a recent report from Oxford university showed that students who resides in London do not know how to write and post a letter as London is a developed country and they are using latest technology only.

Irrespective of above the mentioned points, every coin has two side. Due to tremendous use of technology, people are living inactive lifestyle. Additionally, there is a personal touch in writing letter.

Taking everything into consideration, I pen down saying that the connotation of writing letters in this technological era is ill-informed. Likewise, it will be neither convincing nor appropriate for the mankind to stay without using technologies.
