Nowadays, eco-tourism is the prevalent type of traveler which is loved by many people in Viet Nam and around the world. Travel destinations of this type of tourism are isolated and fragile environments, so it has raised worries about its effects on traditions and native populations. Therefore, we will go deep into the issues that can arise from tourism, such as cultural disturbance and harm to the environment, and we also suggest remedies like sustainable methods and adjustment.
The issue that we can easily see of eco-tourism is cultural disruption. When tourists visit remote areas, they may cause alterations to local traditions, customs, and values. Indigenous communities gradually change their lifestyle to meet the demand of tourists, and then losing their cultural heritage. For example, in certain regions, the performance of traditional ceremonies is only to attract tourists and no longer retains inherent meaning.
Eco-tourism not only impact on the indigenous communities but it also leads to environmental harm in delicate ecosystems. Because there are too many tourists who visit the eco-tourism area, it leads to habitat destruction, and disturbance to the local flora and fauna. For instance, in fragile environments, uncontrolled tourist behaviors like camping or interacting with wildlife can harm the ecosystem and upset its natural harmony.
Finally, eco-tourism has the potential to create economic benefits, but it may also present obstacles for indigenous cultures and ecosystems. In order to solve these concerns, it is essential to put in place suitable practices and regulations. Moreover, it is important to implement education and awareness initiatives for tourists and local communities to enhance their comprehension for diverse cultures and ecosystems. By this way, eco-tourism can be effectively managed to reduce its adverse effects and enhance the advantages of traveler. Vietnam is a country with many eco-tourism systems, so every student needs to acquire knowledge about ecosystem protection in order to preserve the nation’s ecosystem.
