Nowadays, we face some problems in our cities related to traffic. To tackle this problem, commuting with public transport emerged as a one of the solutions. This essay will discuss this view and give an explanation.
Firstly, using public transport could reduce traffic congestion. Public transport has a large amount of capacity compared to private vehicles. For instance, a bus could have a capacity of 50-60 people. This number is larger as opposed to private cars which only have approximately 5 to 8 passengers. If people prefer to commute with bus or other public transport options, this could lead to a fewer number of vehicles on the main road, and the traffic congestion could be avoided.
Secondly, the benefit of public transport is regarding the gas emission. We can’t ignore the fact that we must maintain the earth’s environment by making a green policy, including on traffic problem-related. The implementation of green policy can be found in using public transport, as it produces less amount of emission, thus making it more sustainable for the environment. For example, private cars produce more emissions as it depends on the number of cars. Each car produces its own emissions. Nevertheless, if we take the bus or train, the emission counts a smaller amount compared to private cars.
In sum, commuting with public transport is one of the key solutions to reduce the traffic problems. It has many advantages, such as reducing the traffic congestion and producing lower emissions.
