Band 4+: Environmental pollution causes the greatest threat to the world. What are the problems and how can we tackle such problem?

It is undeniable fact that the multifaceted degradation to our surroundings is becoming widespread in many regions around the globe, which leads to catastrophic scenario by infinite reasons which has made the challenges worsen. Despite that, various measures could be taken by governments and individuals to remediate the circumstances. This essay will elucidate issues behind and a handful remedial measure before coming to the final conclusion.

To begin with, one of the major issues which leads to cancer, heart disease, respiratory imbalance, is health issue in animals and human beings as a result of greenhouse gas emission from vehicles and industrial areas. In addition, water pollution from factories waste and agricultural garbage can harm the ecosystem leading to the destruction of natural habitat and loss of biodiversity. Besides, soil pollution by using chemicals and pesticides affect the growth of flora and can hinder the food chain impacting animals as well as humans. For instance, car fume in London city, discarding litter in the Miami beach can harm the human health and marine life respectively.

However, there are colossal ways and means that can be taken to combat these intricacies, such as promotion of renewal energy, which enable reducing carbon dioxide gas flow into the air. Similarly, another undoubted solution to counter this complexities is public awareness through social media and educational institutions encouraging sustainable practices leading to environment preserving waste management along with the behavior. Finally, government should implement policies and regulations in favor of environment protection such as defining fine and penalties and introducing tax exemption on revenues for environmental preservation. For instance, Nepal government has the policies of certain percent tax exemption on the revenue which is spent on tree plantation and water resources cleansing activities.

To recapitulate, although activities regarding the atmosphere and surrounding destruction create adverse consequences, we can still tackle such through the making aware individuals, focusing on alternative long-life energy source and plan, policies and ethical practices. Thus, these measures in turn promote the balanced ecosystem, protect health of leaving creatures like human, flora and fauna, and leads to sustainable future.
