Band 5+: Fashion trends are difficult to follow these days and it’s widely believed that they primarily exist just to sell clothes. Some people believe that we shouldn’t follow them and that we should dress in what we like and feel comfortable in. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Over the recent decades, following the trends of fashion has been very hard, and people feel that they initially exist just to sell costumes. It is suggested that instead of maintaining those trends, people ought to wear dress what prefer and feel comfortable in. I completely agree with this statement because it will boost their confidence and help to move easily.

Wearing comfortable clothes is the great source of gaining confidence. When people avoid tight dresses and prefer those which are comfortable, they feel another level of attitudes, and it not only allows to boost confidence but also looks stylish. Furthermore, these types of clothes present them in a formal way which makes good impression to others. For example, John Smith, a teacher of York University, found that students who wear comfortable costumes rather than maintaining trends are highly confident than others when it comes to class presentation.

There is another reason why individuals believe it is better to dress up with comfortable clothes that easily movement. Many people around the world especially women, wear tight or short clothes, as they prone to following trends. Consequently, they feel uncomfortable and cannot move easily. Besides they face problems such as lack of confidence when they go to any party or somewhere else. For instance, when dancers perform in a show or any events, sometimes they fall in awkward situation for their clothes, and it is also a barrier for them to dance properly which make a bad impression in front of other people.

In conclusion, I believe it is a wise concept to wear dress what people feel good, as it helps to gain more confidence and make easy movement, and these result in good impression.

large companies should pay higher salaries to CEOs and executives compared to the other workers. To what extend do you agree or disagree ?

There is a view that CEOs and executives in large companies should be paid significantly more than ordinary workers.
