Over the past decade, increasing trend of interest in arts has been observed. Governments of multiple countries across the globe are taking steps to improve arts and crafts. Following paragraphs discuss whether the government should spend money on arts or somewhere else.
There are multiple advantages of spending money on arts by the government. One of the important reason is that it enhances tourism. People now a days like to travel abroad to view arts and crafts of different countries. By improving and promoting arts, tourists can be attracted to the area. Arts is unique way to reflect culture of a particle area. Promoting art can indirectly help in keeping culture of the that specific area alive. For example, the beautiful trucks of Pakistan reflect the Punjabi culture. It can eventually help in increasing economy and gdp of the country. Art can also be used as a way to convey message and thoughts to the public.
On the other hand, spending money on art rather than somewhere else have many cons too. There are many more fields and specialities which needs to be a prime focus of the government for allotting funds for example higher education and infrastructure. Higher education is more important as it increases literacy rate of the country eventually increasing individuals chance of procuring a job. This helps in reducing poverty of the particular region. By focusing on updating infrastructure like roads and railways, communication can be made comfortable and easy. This will improve rate of tourism in the particular area.
In the light of above discussion, it can be concluded that government should focus more on other specialities for spending money than on arts. Improving education and infrastructure leads to success of the country due to its greater impact on economy.
