There is no room for doubt that in this contemporary society, happiness plays an important role in shaping most aspects of our lives. Indeed, one topic that has, to an extent, raised worldwide controversy that is it impossible to define what is happiness for individuals ?
On the one hand, happiness is considered a subjective feeling which is really hard to define. Obviously, everyone has their own life, so they are completely different in ages, hobbies, and social backgrounds, to name a few. Therefore, it is clearly seen that the definition of happiness for each person is never the same. Some people think that their happiness is related to material things, such as a big house, a fancy car, or a lot of money. By contrast, others believe that their happiness are abstract definition, like they can contribute to their countries, trade their dreams, or simply have meals with their families. This is true for my neighboor who seems very happy as he has a lot of money and a stable life, but unfortunately, he is fighting his serious disease every day. Definitely, for him, happiness is simply the moment when he wakes up and his heart is still beating. On the contrary, for those people who are in difficult circumstances, absolutely their happiness are have places to live in and have something to eat. In my opinion, as a second-year student, my happiness is to try my best to study and to gain as much useful knowledge as possible in my school. After graduating, my happiness is making a lot of money by finding a high-paying job, which will help me solve a lot of financial-related problems and can show gratitude to my parents. At age 30, a happy marriage and a well raised child are surely my happiness. When I turn old, what makes me happy is that I can live peacefully with my loved ones. To sum up, happiness’s definition for me is to enjoy every moment in my life in the most complete way.
In conclusion, this outstanding matter has sparked several opposing opinions about this statement. As far as I am concerned, happiness totally can be changed depending on feelings, time, and situations.
