People think that obtaining a university degree promises a better job. I believe that not only a level of education but other factors can play a role in a variety of available job positions.
It is irrefutable that those, who already have a degree, often get better job positions more easily than those without any educational experience. For instance, in South Korea it is nearly impossible to get a good job without a university degree. It is significant to obtain a minimum of a bachelor degree before applying for a job there because candidates without a certain specification will not even be considered for a position, as it will mean their incompetence in this field. But not only a degree desires whether someone will receive a position or not.
On one hand, in many countries a considerable number of people are unable to start working after their graduation from the university due to the lack of working experience. It is a very confusing fact for young adults as if they have not worked yet, they will not be employed. However, without actual employment, they can not receive working experience.
On the other hand, there is a belief in society that experienced people are cherished more than people who only know theory. It applies well to medicine. If the doctor just knows how to do the surgery, there is no assurance that he will do it without mistakes, because practice is the key to success.
Overall, a university degree does not guarantee a good job, though it is important to have some knowledge, but other factors such as experience will also influence the quality of the position.
