There is a view where the governments should bs responsible to solve homelessness issue. I partly agree with this statement because the officials should ensure their citizens’ happiness as well as the homeless people themselves should also find a way out from destitution.
On the one hand, the reason why governments should tackle this problem is because people have put their trust to the officials to ensure that every citizen embracing their happiness. The government should use the tax money to establish some facilities that can support destude people’s life. Consider Singapore as an example, the Government there built some apartments which are called “HDB Apartment” for the homeless people there. As a result, there are almost no homeless people sleeping on the pavement in the midnight. Governments should learn from Singapore and implement this method to solve homelessness.
On the other hand, the homeless people should also push themselves out from poverty. They should not rely too much on the officials, remembering that there are still many destude people they should manage. Hence, homeless people should try to seek for a job anf therefore have some money to support their lives. Moreover, it is not guaranteed that after the government have helped them financially, they will live happily forever. Afterall, they still have many things to afford, food for example. Thus, poor people should earn money constantly every month by working.
In conclusion, the governments are not the only one who responsible to tackle this problem. However, the homeless people themselves should try to escape from poverty by looking for a job to obtain some money.
