Nowadays, a lot of people move to other countries for better job opportunities, education, and better life standards. Some people believe that immigrants should follow cultures and traditions of countries where they move. I completely agree with this opinion because it can help people to integrate with local people. Although, people should not forget their own traditions and cultures.
Firstly, following the local rules and life behavior can help people to adapt easily to the new country. Every country has its own social norm, cultural value, and rules of conduct. If immigrants do not follow these rules, it can make misunderstanding between people who come from another country and locals. For example, an action can be considered normal in any country but anormal in another country. That’s why knowing and respecting local rules help to make better relations between locals and immigrants.
On the other hand, I consider that people must not refuse their local customs and traditions. The coexistence of different cultures in one society can make the country more diverse and interesting. Everyone should have a right to make their national meals, speak in their language, and protect their family traditions. However, the main condition is that these activities must not be contrary to the local rules and laws. Because it can reason for conflict between government, locals, and foreigner.
In conclusion, I believe that people should integrate new laws and rules where they move to live. Nevertheless, a person living abroad can protect their own cultural identity too. Both integrating local culture and protecting national traditions is the best approach.
