Bicycles are becoming an increasingly popular mode of transportation, especially in cities. The benefits and drawbacks of using a bicycle as the primary mode of transportation will be covered in this essay. Bicycles, in my opinion, are a simple, safe, and low-pollution mode of transportation.
I’ll start by discussing the advantages of cycling as a mode of transportation. Since motor vehicle smoke is the primary source of air pollution, as we all know, cycling does not release any dangerous toxins into the atmosphere. Additionally, research indicates that it is an excellent way to maintain physical fitness for the legs and joints. Furthermore, the rider bears no financial burden in terms of petrol or gasoline. Finally, it’s a quick and easy way to get around without having to spend a lot of time stuck in traffic. In the same vein, it does not require a parking spot in the same manner as cars.
I’ll now talk about the drawbacks of using bicycles for transportation. Now a day’s people prefer to choose electric cars to travel great distances in a few hours due to technological advancements. On the other hand, bicycles are a manual mode of transportation that requires time and physical exertion to cover large distances. Furthermore, because they lack insurance and safety gear, bicycles in populous places are not sufficiently safe. Moreover, under bad weather conditions, this might potentially put a person in danger. Whereas in cities, there are also fewer bike lanes. Therefore, compared to bicycles, motor vehicles are a safer mode of transportation.
In conclusion, bicycles are not a particularly safer alternative for lengthy travels, but there is no denying their potential advantages for the environment and people’s health. Electric bicycles cycles are becoming more and more common.
