However, it is believed that these ready to eat meals bring more downsides than benefits. In this essay, the disadvantages and advantages of fast food will be analyzed with a conclusion to offer solutions to the matter at hand.

To start, fast food is both easily and widely accessible. As the name suggests, ‘Fast’ food can be prepared quickly as they are often pre-prepared in batches. Moreover, the rise of the fast-food industry saw the development of well-known food chains such as McDonald and KFC which have stores across numerous countries. As a result, the flexibility offered by these quick meals swiftly become popular and integrated themselves into daily lives.

On the surface, these meals seem to be harmless. However eating fast-food come at a price. Not only are these meals unhealthy, but they also consist of harmful substances. According to the Human Health Organization, fast food are composed of mostly fat and little carbohydrates and protein, in addition it has been found that preservatives and addictives are often added in order to ensure freshness of these meals during batch production. As such, it can be seen that consumption of these quick meals can be detrimental to human well-being.

In Conclusion, fast-foods serve as a great alternative to those who look to finish a meal quickly due to the widespread accessiblity of ready-to-eat-meal restaurants. However consumers should remain wary of the composition of these meals as they are not healthy in the long-term. Limitations such as the widespread integration of fast-food in daily lives serve as obstacles for governments to overcome in order to solve this issue. To combat the rapid expanse of the fast-food empire, governments should educate citizens on the potential harm of consuming fast-foods while policies should be implemented to ensure these food chains use healthy and nutritious ingredients to produce their meals.
