There is a growing trend where the elderly are living longer in many countries, while this trend can pose certain challenges in terms of affecting job prospects among younger generation . I personally view it as mostly advantageous ,offering cultural benefits and expanding horizon and enhancing costumer demand.
One significant disadvantage of longer living people is the future achievements of young people. When the aged work deliberately during their retiring period. As the result more and more young people cannot indicate their full potential which not only in workforce but also the prevalence of age-related illnesses and chronic conditions increases, adding pressure on healthcare recourses and infrastructure. The result in budget defects, elevated taxes reduced funding for other essential sectors such as education .
Despite their challenges, the extended lifespan of the elderly brings cultural benefits .Elderly individuals often serve as custodians of cultural heritage, passing down traditions and values to younger generations .Moreover, an aging population can expand horizons by creasing new markets and demands. In this case they often products and services tailored to their needs, leading to growth industries such as healthcare, leasure and wellness. Also this increased consumer’s demand can stimulate economic development t and create employment opportunities
In conclusion, while the trend of longer living expectancy among the elderly presents certain challenges affecting younger workforce and reduction of funding other sectors of society as education and others. Despite of this drawbacks ageing population may enhance consumer market.
