In recent years, plastic pollution has been a major concern as many individuals do not recycle their waste meterials, for example bottels and newspaper. This harms the environment and causes severe consequenses to humans and wildlife.
A key reason that people do not reccyle is, because they simply lack the awareness on the harmful side effects of not recycling. For example some believe that throwing it in the street is okay since either way the cleaners could clean it up, even though thats not true and this lack of awarness spreads misinformation among people. To tackle this the Ministry of Enviroment could implement educational workshops in schools,university, and work insitutions, to educate everyone on why they should recycle, and how to recycle and what are the drawbacks if we dont do so.
Moreover, another reason could potentially be the lack of accessibility in some areas. Recycling bins are mostly in malls and busy downtown areas, but this makes recycling houshold waste meterials less convinent, thus less people are motivated to recycle. To solve this, the goverment must pass policies that make recycling convinent and easy such as, installing recycling facilities in urban neigborhoods, and providing incentives to the citzens that do recycle.
In conclusion, there are nemrous reasons, why people do not recycle but the most salient ones are the lack of awareness and the lack of accessibility. The goverment and ministry can ressolve it, by rasing awarness and passing inititives, and by doing that we can have a greener and clean environment.
