In recent years, it has become increasingly common to see that many people do not recycle reusable waste materials like bottles and newspapers. The concerning situation is mainly caused by the government’s negligence. However, there are a number of approaches that can be implemented to solve this issue effectively.
Without a doubt, many countries do not have strict laws or some rewards like money, which encourage individuals to recycle waste materials. If the governments apply harsh regulations such as fines, they are more likely to encourage citizens do not to throw materials to streets. Similarly, many regions do not have recycling plants to reuse unusable materials, thus many people just throw bottles and papers to stranded areas. For example, the people in my hometown just collect garbage into a bag and after it is full they dump it in the field. This can lead to environmental problems over time. Given these circumstances, it comes as no surprise that people cannot recycle waste materials.
Despite these challenges, there are several measures that could help address this problem. One of them is implementing recycling factories in every region. When these factories purchase waste materials from residents, people are more likely to sell bottles and newspapers to factories instead of throwing them away. This leads to reducing significantly waste materials throwing into fields. For instance, in Germany in all markets have reverse vending machine, so many residents return bottles to these machines and get their deposit back. If these methods are implemented in every country, the governments can easily reduce this rate.
In conclusion, although the lack of opportunities and laws contribute discouraging people from recycling waste materials, implementing recycling plants and machines could mitigate this issue.
