In many states, smoking has been restricted in public areas such as parks, hospitals, restaurants. I totally agree with this statement because it protects smokers against many serious diseases as well as the addiction to smoking.
First and foremost, it is sensible that making it illegal to smoke can prevent people from developing diseases. That is because after smoking, smokers give off a huge amount of second-hand smoke that affects surrounding people and themselves, this type of smoke can cause a lot of health problems like heart disease, lung cancer, wrinkly skin and many ongoing complication. Therefore, a ban is needed to help people stay clear of smoking. For example, there are many lung cancer cases result from smoking in Hanoi that most public places have put prohibition signs to eliminate this activity.
Another reason why smoking should be banned is that it helps those addicted to cigarette quit their habit. That is to say, cigarette contains many substances that trigger the release of dopamine and endorphins and this temporarily put its users in a good mood and create the pleasure sensations. As a result, they crave for more cigarettes and the need of this product rises as well. Therefore, a law must be imposed to reduce the number of addicted people. For instance, in Dan Phuong, a wide range of detoxification centers has been built in order to help addicts stay cigarette-free, these places also support those who are addicted to wine and beer.
In conclusion, This essay strongly agree with the suggestion that smoking should be prohibited in public places because it guarantees the perfect safety of smokers and people who stand nearby as well as limiting the number of cigarette addicts.
