In recent years, the issue of crime has become a pressing concern that requires attention and action from various stakeholders including individuals, organizations and governments. An increasing number of evidence about the rise of crime rates and it becoming more violent. In my point of view, I believe that unemployment and uneducate are two major reasons, and this essay will illustrate two possible solutions to remedy this phenomenon.
It is undeniable that the lack of job opportunities and compulsory education programs are two primary reasons , which cause increasing crime rates in society. On the business level, the job shortage leads to numerous teenagers who have no money to putting food on the table, hence they become involved in crime-relative activities including theft or cocaine trade. A number of developing countries including Mehico or Brazil are dealing with a rise in unemployment rates. It has been reported that there has not enough job roles for local dwellers, so they have a challenge to find pernament career with welfare benefits. Besides, the lack of education is one the reasons that contribute to the increased crime rates which further lead to gang-related activities. This is especially worrisome among younger generations who do not attend school. It can be argued that they would have more free time on their hands and can be attracted or influenced by crime activites.
To address this issue, governments have a duty to their local citizens to reduce crime rates by improving marcoeconomic conditions and a compulsory educational program for teenagers. On the economic level, governments should embrace FDI which is investment from foreign companies, hopefully, they will recruit more local employees to operate their production activites. Therefore, the figure of unemployed will reduce through rising FDI investment flow from other countries. On the education level, if they can receive comprehensive education in environments which teach them to become society ethic dwallers . In addition, parents have a significant role to educate their teenagers, hopfully, they will not take part in the crime-relative lifestyle when they understand more about these concepts.
In conclusion, the rise of crime rates is caused by the lack of career opportunities and uneducate conditions. To address this issue, governments can improve macroeconomics via foreign organization investments. Besides, they also create compulsory education programs for young citizens, perhaps, through two possible solutions they can tackle this phenomenon in the future.
