Nowadays, it is common to see individuals eating ready-to-eat food instead of cooking their own meals. Although this has its own benefits and issues, I firmly believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.
On the one hand, people who prefer ready-to-eat food have several reasons. They are cheap, fast, and convenient, especially in today’s fast-paced society. For instance, canned and dried foods are perfect for instant meals without spending time making them. Another reason is that these products are mass-produced at a very low cost, making them much more affordable to every customer. This helps factories and organizations to save money and maintain their business further. Furthermore, canned foods are preservable and can be stored for a long time without getting spoiled.
On the other hand, these products do not ensure the safety of consumers because they are heavily processed, containing preservatives and toxic metals which could cause health problems. This leads to serious danger and affect the public health. Another reason is that ready-to-eat food does not provide consumers with sufficient minerals and vitamins that are essential for the body.
In my personal view, I firmly believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Although speed and efficiency are important in the modern society, the health risks that ready-to-eat food poses to consumers are serious as they affect the public health badly and could lead to further issues.
In my conclusion, I believe that the disadvantages of ready-to-eat food outweigh the benefits because of the harm that it brings to anyone who uses it, leading to further consequences.
