Nowadays, many believe that children enjoy more freedom than in the earlier ages in most of the areas of the world. I think that this is a positive development, as these children are more open to the world. However, I believe also that being attached to people’s tradition is crucial to children’s development. This essay discusses this topic.
Firstly, there is no doubt that youngsters in the recent days are widely open to the recent technology, such that they can learn, play games, watch videos and communicate with others. For instance, one can have worldwide friends, as the world became a global village. Consequently, this progress and advancement help expand their minds and improve their knowledge and ameliorate their personal skills and character development.
Moreover, many people believe that leaving children to choose from the allowed options is very essential to express their freedom in their choices. They think that children could learn from their choices by trial and errors. This helps making them more mature and responsible. However, I believe that freedom for children is double wedged weapon. This is because too much freedom may result in, for example, having bad company or drug abuse. Therefore, youngsters should be attached to costumes and traditions to have a more balanced life.
