Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In being a parent, both men and women, have their own function and impact in many countries. The differences are created by the culture and way people live worldwide. Even though there are some general views about male and female fixed positions as a parent, the definition of role in parenting developed globally, guided by the media and technology abroad about the fundamental thinking in parenting.

Every country has rules based on their local wisdom in many aspects of life, one of them is parenting. Rules at home become a method of teaching children about formal and informal knowledge. Parents become the leading actor in implementing the rules of parenting to the kids. Generally, the father’s position is an active worker collecting money for the family’s savings, while the mother stays at home taking care of the child and house. This model is commonly found in the Asian region, where the differences between males and females is still bigger in social structure.

Nowadays, information about parenting fulfills the media, especially online platforms such as YouTube and Instagram. These global ideas spread out and supported by technology, making people get various insights easier than before. The priority of the content is not only on the role of each parent but also on the ideal method of parenting. In this world of parenting, equality is the substantive aspect that needs to be considered in handling the growth of society nowadays, realising that in some families, women also have a role of working mothers, thought.

To sum up, phenomena about parenting position between men and women exist in some countries as a common knowledge created by the culture. In the future, equality awareness in social structure will affect the main definition of parent’s function in a family supported by the global media spreading information about human rights.
