Learning something about our future studies and acquiring exposure is something that today’s people think of. This has both advantages and disadvantages which will be discussed in this essay.
On one hand, there are many advantages when students get a gist of what they are going to pursue in the near future. This helps them to know the pros and cons of that particular field and scope for it. Students can also get some insights about what they opted for and how to prepare for it. This gives them some time to think a lot about pursuing a course which is a major step in their lives. Learners who do not know much about career options may feel better when they are given a chance to experience things by doing a lot of travel. For instance, many students can get inspired from seeing others work and want to be like them.
On the other hand, there are some demerits to this. Some students do not know how to use this effectively and get confused. When they think more, there is a high probability of getting stressed. Also, students who have already decided their studies may view this as a waste of time. Some would be in a dilemma and do not make the right decision. For example, a student who wants to become a doctor might not change his or her mind and thinks it is of no use.
To sum up, the advantages of gaining experience and travelling before university studies outweigh the disadvantages. I believe that when pupils are given an opportunity to know the world, they may build great confidence.
