Young people don’t value their right to vote in a few countries. Youngsters that don’t vote are making way to leaders who might not bring favours to the them. There should be an awareness program to educate all the students about their right to vote and the change that they can bring.
Most young people believe their vote won’t make any difference in the system, hence, they don’t make an effort to vote. In fact many teenagers are not aware about the political state of their country or town. By voting for young leaders, they can benefit for their own future. Young leaders can understand issues that the youth are facing. Young people are generally more aware of the problems they might face in the future by voting for a specific party. For example, students in United States are not happy with their government and they migrate to Canada. They don’t make an effort to bring changes in their own country.
Awareness in the most effective solution for this situation. School’s and colleges should bring subjects that are of more political relevance. Many students are not aware about the political state of their country, this should be a must in the education system. Government and political parties should make advertisement campagins stating their vision and views of the future. Adult’s should share their political views to their offspring.
In conclusion, youngsters neglecting their fundamental right to vote is denying changes that will be favourable to them. However, youth’s should be encouraged to vote.
