In today’s era, good education and knowledgeable teachers are essential for children. Nowadays, in some developing countries, it is challenging to get well-educated teachers who can work in the countryside area. Therefore, this view has a negative impact on the education of children who live in rural areas. I will mention some reasons why teachers do not want to work in rural communities with some examples and elaborate on some solutions about this problem in the following essay.
To begin with, several reasons can be put forth to support this development. First and foremost, the predominant reason is that in the rural areas, teachers get low wage employment compared to the city areas. Not only this, but the availability of various kinds of resources are limited. As a result, teachers are not able to educate their students properly with required materials. For example, a study by the University of Toronto mentioned that 60% of teachers declined to work in the village area due to less availability of internet, computer labs, and libraries.
Moreover, there are some solutions that can be considered to overcome this problem. The major solution is that the government should provide an intensive pay to those teachers who are willing to educate children in the rural communities. Furthermore, the government should also provide high-quality of internet and other necessary facilities in the country side areas for the betterment of children education. To illustrate, a well-known actor from India, recently constructed a quiet reading zone in the village where he was born.
To conclude, having perfect teacher with a lot of knowledge is vital for children. However, less income and not enough resources are responsible factors for teachers to not work in those rural communities. As a consequence, the government has to take some actions and supply assets and materials as well as increase teachers’ income for the better development.
