It is true that in today’s world, there plenty of ancient traditional festivals have been forgotten or are in danger of being forgotten. There are a variety of problems which can be appeared as the result of this, but steps can definitely be taken to address this issue.
In my point of view, disappearing of traditional celebrations can bring about multiple problems. Firstly, it can lead to decreasing the cultural diversity all around the world. As a result, we might see people who are same as each other. Secondly, since these festivals are one of the main sources of producing sense of love to our homeland, losing them can reduce national spirit in countries. Finally, I believe that holding festivals and celebrations are one of the best ways to transfer one’s nation background to the new generation. Therefore, children can be familiar with their culture even they are living far from their country. For instance, Yalda, is one of the most famous Iranian celebrations which is still respecting by Iranians all over the world and has an important role in preservation of Iranian culture.
There are several ways that can help us to tackle this issue. Since, today’s world is technology era, people who are concerned about their traditions should use modern technology and media in order to trend ancient festivals. Secondly, governments have to consider a remarkable budget for expansion of their own celebrations. For instance, they can assign some organizations for preparing all over the country for a special festival. Finally, I believe that respecting to traditions should be instructed from childhood. Therefore, schools can play a vital role in preserving traditional festivals by holding small internal festivals and involving students in these celebrations.
In conclusion, our world can be struggled by several problems such as decreasing of cultural diversity or reducing of national spirit as the result of losing traditional festivals while I believe that different measure could be taken by both people and governments to preserve them like using modern technology or encouraging schools to consider internal plans for involving children in celebrating festivals.
